The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes many reasons to celebrate. Thanksgiving brings us together to enjoy elaborate feasts that echo all we have to be thankful for. As many of us spend this wonderful occasion around the table with family and friends, it’s the perfect time for hosts to present a decorated table to their guests.
This year, we asked some of our favorite design and décor bloggers to show us their Thanksgiving tablescapes using one of our Thanksgiving bouquets to help inspire their creations. You can find some of our favorites below to get your own ideas for festive feasting décor.
Grateful Prayer, Thankful Heart
Within her post, Lorraine of Grateful Prayer, Thankful Heart states “family and friends gathered around the table is a blessing I am most grateful for”. Her tablescape uses a formal take on her “everyday” dishes. We love the pop of color the centerpiece brings to her neutral backdrop and her tea light candles compliment it beautifully. Lorraine’s table even has a vintage touch of wine goblets from her husband’s great-grandparents. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to consider adding a family heirloom or memento to your table as a tribute to past and future generations. “Understated and inviting,” is how Lorraine describes her style and we’re inclined to agree! You can see more of her beautiful tablescape here.
Every Day Mom Ideas
Julia of Every Day Mom Ideas shared a touching story of her own mother with us. “As I picture my young mother preparing an elaborate feast just for her four small children I can’t help but be filled with a little more gratitude for my own little family.” In addition to her inspiring Thanksgiving memory, she wowed us with a beautiful fall table. This cornucopia is festive, while adding a beautiful green compliment to the warm oranges and reds of the season, giving her traditional table a modern update. We especially love her leaf-shaped salt and pepper shakers! You can read Julia’s Thanksgiving reflection in full here.
The Yellow Cape Cod
Instead of adding her bouquet to her holiday table, Andrea of The Yellow Cape Cod chose to spruce up her powder room with a pop of color and some beautiful decorative details. “To keep dressing up the Powder Room quick and easy, I’ve narrowed it down to three essential items,” she says. “A scented candle, a stack of brand new, fluffy towels and the main element: a gorgeous fresh floral arrangement.” We love that Andrea took the time to style every room in her home down to the last detail. You can find more images of Andrea’s festive powder room here.
Keeping With the Times
Barb of Keeping with the Times crafted a sparkling table fit for any celebration. “This style of holiday tablescape will take you from Thanksgiving, through Christmas, and on into the New Year!” she says. Her neutral color palate uses metallics to add a festive touch while still remaining seasonally appropriate. Neutrals provide a chic aesthetic and the gold vase of flowers is gorgeous and glam! “I think the sky should be the limit when it comes to setting your holiday table, and it doesn’t have to be limited to what you usually do.” Barb definitely impressed us with her bold choices that shirked the norm and presented something truly unique. Her advice for a well-designed table? “Use layers,” she says. “I like to have the table set when my guests arrive, and I pile it on.” You can find more gorgeous images of Barb’s tablescape here.
We love to see our arrangements paired with elegant design and décor. Though Thanksgiving has passed, there are still plenty of opportunities to create your own tablescape this holiday season!
