For 2014, FTD.com is very happy to be the floral sponsor of the USO’s National Gala in Washington DC on October 17. An estimated 1,000 guests will gather to pay special tribute to our men and women in uniform. Guests will include Washington dignitaries, Members of Congress, military leadership, members of the USO Board of Governors, USO corporate sponsors and the media. This year’s Gala emcee is comedienne Aisha Tyler with entertainment provided by country music artist Kellie Pickler.
To help show our strong support, Michael Skaff, FTD’s Vice President of Product Design, has designed a custom centerpiece for this year’s USO Gala.
Following the Gala on Saturday, October 18, the USO and FTD will deliver the floral arrangements to nearby Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. As the largest military hospital in the US, the flowers will be a simple thank you to the brave wounded warriors recovering from their injuries.
